Construction has begun on our new school building, located just 7 minutes from downtown Ithaca on Nelson Road in Danby, NY. Our new home constructed on our own 80 acres of farm land, will include 6 classrooms, both for grades and Kindergarten as well as, a community space. (We will continue to offer a second Kindergarten class in our downtown location in the First Presbyterian Church.) The project completion date is September, 2012. Early Childhood Open Houses for 2012

Come, play, make bread, and learn about our Waldorf Early Childhood programs including our Parent/Child Classes, our Nursery Class, and our mixed-age Kindergartens.

All Open Houses will be from 10:00- 12:00pm and will feature a puppet show at 10:30 am.

Children are most welcome. Refreshments served and enrollment materials will be available.

Ground Breaking Ceremony

On Friday, October 14th, with shovels and wheelbarrows in hand, singing
songs with live music, we celebrated the commencement of construction
on our new school building. Danby town officials, Waldorf school teachers
both present and past as well as Board members, donors, children and
friends were present to “break ground” on our farm land purchased 7
years ago. Our dream to build our own home finally has come true!

Crafting Thursday Mornings

Please bring your own handwork with you. We meet in the Parent and Child classroom on the second floor of the First Presbyterian Church (315 N. Cayuga St.). Entrance on Court Street. Begins at 9:15 am on Thursdays (when school is in session) and ends at 11:00. Beginners welcome!
