Before you apply, you should visit us! We invite you to our open visitation of our Kindergarten and Grades classrooms on Thursday mornings. Please call ahead at 607-273-5184 to let us know that you are coming! If Thursdays don’t work for you, please call to schedule an alternative date. Visit days are not available during school breaks; see our Calendar.

The Early Childhood program (Kindergarten and Parent and Child) is located at the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Ithaca. The Church is located at 315 N. Cayuga Street, and the Court Street entrance is most convenient to the IWS classrooms. Visits begin at 9:45 am. RSVP required.
Grades 1-5 are located at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church at 402 N. Aurora Street in downtown Ithaca. We are pleased to be closer to our early childhood program while we construct a new building on our land on Nelson Road! Visits begin at 8:45 am. RSVP required.

Early Childhood Open Houses
Bring your children to one of our Early Childhood Open Houses. Play, make bread, and learn about our Waldorf Early Childhood programs including our Parent and Child Classes, our Nursery Class, and our mixed-age Kindergartens. Open Houses will be held in our classrooms in the First Presbyterian Church (enter from Court Street) on the following dates:
- March 10
- March 24
- April 21
All Open Houses will be from 10:00am-12:00pm and will feature a puppet show at 10:30am. Refreshments and enrollment materials will be available.
